Communication and Payment

The school uses Parentmail communication system for sending letters electronically, reporting absences, and making digital payments for trips. After you have provided your contact details including your email you will be invited to register for ParentMail. If there is any change to your contact information, circumstances or to your child’s medical condition please fill the attached form. PDFImage

Though the school’s preferred method of payment is through parentmail, we also accept cash contributions provided they are in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class. Small brown envelopes are available in the main entrance.

Physical Education

Pupils swim every other week on Thursday afternoon. PE is timetabled on the school calendar. is on Wednesdays. In the Foundation Phase, it is handy to bring a PE kit (shirt, pants / shorts, sweater and trainers) at the beginning of the term in a bag labeled with your child’s name and leave it on their peg. You can wash the kit at the end of term or as and when needed. Key Stage 2 children require a clean kit every week.

Learning at Home

A homework task and reading activities are sent home on a weekly basis in Reception class. Years 1-6  have weekly reading and homework tasks as well as a weekly spelling and mathematics test.

School Uniform

It is possible to order a uniform from Ffigar or Alison Jones

Our uniform is a navy jumper, red or yellow polo shirt, black skirt/trousers, black shoes. Book bags are also available which are very handy for carrying homework and reading books. Put your child’s name on everything!


The school uses Class Dojo, a program to reward pupils for good behavior. Ask your class teacher for login information.

Breakfast Club Care and After School Club

The school offers early morning childcare and a healthy breakfast at 8.15am free of charge. An after school club is held on site in the Ysgol Feithrin until 6pm. Cost of sessions 3.30pm -4.30pm £3.50 or 3.30pm- 6pm £6.50 Monday-Friday.


The school provides a healthy school lunch for £ 2.35. Information about school dinners and menus for the term can be found on Ceredigion County Council’s website. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring a healthy packed lunch to school. We do not approve of bringing cakes, chocolate or an excess of processed food. Provide a water bottle for pupils, a water fountain is available at school. Please don’t bring fruit juice or fizzy drinks to school. A healthy snack can be eaten at afternoon play. A fruit shop is available at the school at a cost of 20p.

Free School Meals

Enclosed is an application form for free school meals. School funding is dependent in part on the number of pupils who receive free school meals. Fill in the form if you think you qualify. PDFImage

Personal Property

We kindly ask you to avoid bringing personal possessions like toys and valuables to school – with many small hands things tend to go astray or get broken!


Attendance can have a great impact on pupil attainment. If your child is absent for any reason, please report via paretnmail, email or phone call. If every effort could be made to arrange medical appointments outside of school time we would be grateful. Absence forms are to filled for any planned absences. PDFImage
